Description
A view of a house at Heavywater Farm and the neighbouring Royal Oak public house in Green Lane, Dagenham. The two-storey house appears to date from the early nineteenth century and has stone cladding on the walls. The neighbouring three-storey Royal Oak public house appears to date from the period 1910 to 1920 and contains a gabled roof, dormer, casement and bay windows. On the side of the building is a large sign advertising 'Ales, Stout and Ports', and the pub sign hangs on a post outside. The house survives but the pub has been replaced by twentieth-century housing.
